The Little Mermaid, Jr!
Join the Palmerton Drama Club for their production of Disney's The Little Mermaid, Jr! featuring students from all buildings in grades 5-8.
Journey "Under the Sea" to a magical underwater kingdom where the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.
Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Available online or at the door. Online tickets available August 5th Performances are held in the High School Auditorium on September 14th at 7:00 pm & September 15th at 2:00 pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior each night.
Flowers, Candy-Grams, Show Posters and T-Shirts will be available in the lobby prior to all performances courtesy of the Palmerton Drama Parents Club.
Snacks and light refreshments can also be purchased prior to the show at the School Store. All proceeds benefit the Drama Club.

Ian has been part of The Sound of Music, The Lion King Jr!, Mamma Mia, and The Little Mermaid Jr! He would like to thank his parents, grandparents, and friends.
This is Danny’s sixth show. He spent his whole summer rehearsing and spending time with the people he loves! Drama club is a true blessing in his life and is one of his many passions! He is excited for what the year has in store!
Riley has been a part of three shows, this being his fourth. His favorite memories are working with everyone to help make the show the best it can be.
This was Lilly's first time in drama club. She had a lot of fun and learned a lot. She wants to thank the directors and stage crew for this opportunity.
Harrison has been with the drama club since the end of 6th grade. He's loved every second of it. He has been in Mulan Jr., Rebel Without a Cause, The Sound of Music, The Lion King Jr., The Crucible, and Mamma Mia. He's excited for the rest of his time in the club. And he sends big thanks to Danny Devito for his acting influence.
Joshua has been in the club for three years. His previous performances have been Quian-Po in Mulan Jr!, Banzai in The Lion King Jr!, Hopkins in The Crucible, and an extra in Mamma Mia!. He would like to thank his family and friends for their support and other members of the cast for making this show so much fun.
This is Freyja's first drama club show. She has always been interested in theater, like many other people who sing or dance. She joined chorus about two years ago and is going into her third year. She has been dancing since she was two years old and has now been a dancer for almost ten years. She is very exited to be in The Little Mermaid Jr. this year.
Aniah has been with the club for two years. The first play she was in was Mulan Jr., and the second is The Little Mermaid Jr. She loves being in this family. "We get to share our talent with the audience and help ourselves improve and strengthen our faults..it’s amazing!" Aniah believes being a part of this club will help her become an actress!
Nicole has been in all of the Jr. shows so far, as well as The Crucible and Mamma Mia last year. She would like to thank everyone who drives her and picks her up from practice. One of her favorite memories is doing the dance to Voulez Vouz with everyone in Mamma Mia.
Serenity has been in Mulan Jr, The Lion King Jr, The Crucible, and Mamma Mia. Her favorite memory is sitting in a circle and reading through the book with her friends, pretending to be all the roles. She'd like to thank all of the wonderful people who made the show possible.
Marissa has been part of Mulan Jr and The Lion King Jr. Her favorite memories with the club were the cast parties, when everyone belts out the lyrics. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their support.
Ariella has been part of the drama club for one year and loves to bring her talent to the stage. She is extremely excited to perform in The Little Mermaid Jr and upcoming plays. She would like to thank the directors, her parents and friends for always being there to support her.
Hannah has been with the drama club for several shows, appearing in Mulan Jr., Rebel Without a Cause, The Sound of Music, The Lion King Jr., The Crucible, Mamma Mia, and The Little Mermaid Jr.
This is the fourth show Cora has been a part of for the Palmerton Area Drama Club. She has been in The Lion King Jr., The Crucible, Mamma Mia, and is currently in The Little Mermaid Jr. She enjoys acting and singing and can’t wait to do more in the future.
Alysa is going into her 4th year with the Drama Club. She has portrayed Skuttle in The Little Mermaid Jr, Mushu in Mulan Jr, Timone in The Lion King Jr, a nun in The Sound of Music, Betty in The Crucible, and in the ensemble for Rebel Without a Cause and Mamma Mia. Alysa would like to thank the directors for making these shows happen. She truly enjoys being on the stage!
Lauren has been in three plays before The Little Mermaid Jr. She would like to thank her mom for making sure that all of her stuff was ready and there for her and her dad for doing the same thing.
Angelas's favorite memory is learning new dance moves. I She enjoys the support from everyone in the club.
Kellen has been in the Palmerton Drama Club for two years and has had so many great memories. He has been in The Lion King Jr before The Little Mermaid Jr.
This is Maddie's second year with the drama club. Shows she has been in include The Lion King Jr as Rafiki, The Crucible as a town girl, and Mamma Mia as a member of the ensemble. Her favorite memories with the club include singing "Waterloo" and the cast parties. She would like to thank her friends, family, and directors for their constant love and support.
Savannah's favorite memories of being a part of the club are all of the funny moments with all of her friends. She would like to thank everyone that helped and supported her in this journey.
Fiona has been in Mulan Jr, Rebel Without a Cause, The Sound of Music, The Lion King Jr., The Crucible, and Mamma Mia. This is her third year in the club. Her favorite memory is always seeing Michelle and talking about her life issues after every practice. She would like to thank everyone that is a part of her life.
This is Aliyah's sixth show with the drama club. She has been in Rebel Without a Cause, The Sound of Music, The Lion King Jr., The Crucible, and Mamma Mia. She is very thankful for the drama club and all of the fun times and great opportunities it’s let her have. She can’t wait for her following years to come!
This is Zane’s second year performing in the drama club. His previous role was Pumbaa in The Lion King Jr. He is happy to be performing and is looking forward to future shows.
This is Chloe's first year in the club, and she already loves being here. Her favorite memory was trying on her costume. This is her first show.

Although Skye has only been in two shows so far, she plans on doing more. She loves the experience of being on the stage. Skye believes the rehearsals are the most fun part, even when they’re being yelled at. She says the crew and other cast members are always so welcoming, so it makes walking in every night that much better. Her favorite part is always the experience of it all.
Autumn has been part of Mulan Jr., Rebel Without a Cause, The Sound of Music, The Crucible, and Mamma Mia. Her favorite memory is the song "Dancing Queen" in Mamma Mia. She would like to thank Mrs. Hall and her family for bringing her this far.

This is Isabella's first year in drama club. One of her favorite memories is when we learned the dance to “Under the Sea”. She would like to thank all of the stage directors for an amazing experience.

Kaitlyn has been in Mulan Jr., The Lion King Jr., and The Little Mermaid Jr. Kaitlyn would like to thank everyone who encouraged her to audition for her first play, even when she was so nervous to try out for it.
Kiera is a sea creature in the The Little Mermaid Jr. She also plays the French Horn in the Palmerton Community Band, and went to the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District Band. She enjoys swimming, dancing, and going on vacations. Kiera currently does ballet and tap, and did hip hop and jazz when she was younger. She is glad her best friend, Freyja Marks, is in this production too!
Theresa was an elephant in The Lion King Jr. It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work too. She thinks the dances are fun, but a lot of work too. She would like to thank Mrs. Madiera for putting the form for drama in the Wednesday Express.
Matthew had a wonderful time in The Lion King Jr. and now in The Little Mermaid Jr., and he would like to thank Mr. Harris, Mrs. Hall and Brandyn.
This is Ariana's first year in drama club and it has been going well. She has lots of support from her family and friends. She thinks the people in drama club are very polite and she has made many friends. This show has given her many good memories. When Ariana gets into high school she would love to be stage crew because she likes doing arts and crafts.
Back in his old school, Chris was in The Wizard of Oz, When a Bad Plan Goes Wrong and Living Stations. At Palmerton, he was in Mamma Mia! His favorite memory from the club was the boys doing the flipper dance. Chris would like to thank Mrs. Koma and Mrs. Hodyl for helping me start my drama career.
This is Taylor's first show and she is very excited. She loves singing and always wanted to be a part of drama, and she hopes to be in more future shows.
The Little Mermaid Jr. is Nikita's first show with the drama club. Her favorite memory was screaming “fish kabobs” in rehearsal. She would like to thank her friends and her big brother Alex for being amazing and supporting her when she sings.
Molly said it was great to be on the other side of the stage and see what it’s like in Mr. Harris’s shoes. She is very excited to see the talent that will be in the drama club in the future. The kids did a fantastic job and she couldn’t be more proud!
This is Kelly's third time being the music director for the Junior Show and she said each year has been a very rewarding experience. She is very proud of the kids. Kelly believes they showed great talent in the last few weeks. She thinks it has been fun being on the other side and seeing what Mr. Harris and Resa have to do. It was a great last Junior Show for Kelly!

Stage Crew has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for Matt. To be able to build set pieces and overcome the challenges that occur is one of the most memorable experiences Matt has had. Spending hours making a set, then having hundreds of people see it in action is very rewarding and Matt will never forget it! He is very thankful for everything the club officers and advisors do for everyone!
This is Julia's sixth show with stage crew. For this show, Julia was the choreographer. Julia said it was such an awesome experience to work with all of these kids and use her own creativity when creating the dances. She would like to thank Brandyn and Mr Harris for all of the time they dedicate to this club to make these shows possible and give all of the students these great opportunities.
This is Kelci's second show with the drama club. As the head of set design, she helped orchestrate the building of the sets along with the rest of stage crew. She's so excited to see what this year brings.
Bailey is honored to be part of this Jr. show! She has performed in All Shook Up, Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Rebel Without a Cause, The Sound of Music, and portrayed Ann Putnam in The Crucible and Lisa in Mamma Mia. She was also the choreographer for The Lion King Jr. She would like to thank all of her directors, friends and family for always believing in her.
For Gianna, the drama club is like a home away from home. She has been involved in not only the drama club productions, but the Jr. shows as well. Gianna was a choreographer for Mulan Jr. & a prop master for The Little Mermaid Jr. She’s so excited for audiences to see everyone’s hard work, and is grateful to have been a part of The Little Mermaid Jr. for her senior year!
The Little Mermaid Jr. is CJ's third show with stage crew and he really enjoyed being a part of it. Working on the sets with his friends is so much fun and they have created so many memories. He believes it was an enlightening experience to be on the leader side as well because it taught him how much goes into these shows.
This is Jamie’s ninth show and she absolutely loves this club and the people who are a part of it. She has loved working and getting to know the kids. This production has been such a fun way to spend her summer. The kids and crew have come such a long way and she’s very proud of them. Helping with costumes, sets, lights, and makeup is always a good time.
Ella has been with drama since she was in seventh grade, and stage crew since eighth grade. Her favorite part of crew is being with all the kids and watching them grow and improve. She wishes good luck to the cast, she knows they'll do great!
Senia has held this club close to her heart for several years, not only as an actress, but now as a leader in the production of The Little Mermaid Jr. She is very excited and proud of how far the club has come since she was a seventh grader, and how they now have the ability to do Jr. shows to provide opportunity for the younger actors and actresses.
Frankie was involved in both The Crucible and Mamma Mia and hopes to be a part of many more shows in the future. Stage crew has become her home away from home and she truly loves it.
Josiah started off in the drama club with the role of Ling in Mulan Jr. and found that stage crew better suited him. He has been in six other drama club shows since. He can’t wait for many more amazing shows with the drama club and stage crew.
Alex is entering his second year with the club. He's done stage crew for both The Crucible and Mamma Mia! His favorite memories with the club include playing Uno backstage and going to McDonald's on opening night.
Ethan has been in the club for five shows. He enjoys stage crew because he likes doing crafts and hanging out with his friends. He likes the responsibility of the club, too.
Patrick has been in stage crew for one year. He worked on Mulan Jr., The Lion King Jr., The Crucible, and Mamma Mia, which was his favorite show.
This is Abby's third show with the club. She would like to thank her friends for keeping her sane throughout this show and her family for their support.

This is Autumn’s third year with the drama club. She was seen in previous shows such as Mulan Jr., The Lion King Jr., Rebel Without a Cause, The Sound of Music, The Crucible, and Mamma Mia! Autumn is a huge musical theater fan and enjoys going to see shows in New York City as often as possible.
Tilly was in the cast of The Sound of Music and Mamma Mia!, as well as in the stage crew for Rebel Without a Cause and The Crucible. Her favorite memories include hanging out with friends before rehearsal and going bowling after.
Christian has been part of the Stage Crew for two shows, The Little Mermaid Jr! and The Crucible. He says he enjoys every minute of putting the shows together.
Hannah's favorite memories are when the water was turned off to the school and they had to wash their paint brushes in puddles, and during Rebel Without A Cause they tried on all the costumes in the attic. Also in the morning rehearsals for this show, they sang "I Want It That Way" by The Backstreet Boys on stage and it was a magical moment!
